The Rossa was bought as a car to get back on the Road quickly it appeared to be complete and not need much work. I have found that spending an hour here and there does not really work !.
The dashboard was obviously not the original (but not much of an improvement). After a problem with the electrics I removed it (to reveal a birds nest of wiring). With the aid of a continuity tester / multimeter / and voltage tester the loom has been identified and the loose cables isolated.
My attempt at making a dashboard from perspex sheeting failed woefully. It was shaped ok but cracks developed and spread as I offered it into the car. This was despite shaping it slowly in a jig and cooling it steadily.
My plan now is to make the dash from mdf. Google Sketch Up is useful for doing a quick sketch and I plan a cardboard mockup.
How did your dash board end up?
